Both men and women can achieve amazing results through SMP. Whether the client is thinning or has lost a significant amount of hair, SMP can create a subtle yet dramatic confidence boosting result. This technique creates the illusion of a buzzed haircut if balding, or adds density to thinning hair.

The short answer is yes. Scalp micropigmentation can work on any amount of thinning. So if you are experiencing, balding this technique can create the illusion of more density underneath the existing hair you have.

The scalp micropigmentation process will always start with a consultation with one of our qualified professionals. During the consultation (in-person or virtual), the technician will look at your hair, scalp and hairline and ask you about your expectations. They’ll also advise you on what they think the best solution is for you. Following your first appointment, you will be required to have a further 2 sessions, usually 2 weeks apart. During the first session, depending on whether you are having density or hairline SMP, the technician will spend time mapping out your hairline and will decide what pigment shade is best suited. Once you are happy, the technician will start the process of replicating the follicles using the chosen micropigment and a fine needle. Unlike traditional tattoos, we only go 2 millimeters deep. This can create a slight discomfort for the client but varies person to person.

The benefit of scalp micropigmentation is that there is very little maintenance. However, aftercare is essential to the results of the treatment. We provide a document with all the aftercare needed, and our technicians are always available if you require any further information.
